Manila is a beautiful city, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Orient”. It’s also the capital of the Philippines, and it’s a harmonious mix of old and new. If you’re planning to visit Manila, let’s dive right into the top 5 places to visit.

One of Manila’s most iconic historical sites, this was built in the 16th century, when the Philippines was under Spanish colonial rule. It served as a center of political, religious, and commercial activity during the colonial period. A visit to this part of the Philippines’ past is always a must on any Manila city tour.
At Intramuros, you’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time as you wander around the walls and take in the sights.

You’ll see Fort Santiago, a military fortress that was once used as a prison. You can visit the oldest stone church, the Church of San Austin, and the Casa Manila Museum, which offers a glimpse into the life and culture of the Spanish colonial upper class.

Rizal Park is a park located in the center of Manila. It is named after Jose Rizal, a Filipino national hero who was executed in the park in 1896.
