5 of the best things to do in Las Vegas

Fremont Street

Las Vegas Segway Tour: Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street is a street (downtown) that used to be famous for its hotels and casinos but is now famous for its LED screens on the ceiling. The “Viva Vision Light Show” starts on time every night from 6pm to 2am and lasts about 5 minutes. Even when the show isn’t on, the images on the LED screens are constantly changing, making it a spectacular sight to behold.

Bellagio Water Show

The fountain show at the Bellagio Hotel is one of the most iconic shows in Las Vegas. The fountains are set to beautiful music and flow from a large man-made lake in front of the hotel. With around 1200 underwater nozzles and 4800 lights, the show is colorful and grandiose. The water flowing through the city center adds to the romantic atmosphere of the city. It’s a must-see for anyone traveling to Las Vegas.

The Bellagio fountain show takes place every day, unless there are special circumstances such as bad weather or fountain maintenance. They run from day to night and are held every 30 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes at night. The great thing about it is that it’s so frequent that you can watch it at any time of the day or night. The atmosphere is completely different between day and night, so we recommend seeing it more than once. No matter when you go, you won’t regret it.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

Another great thing about the Bellagio hotel is the beautifully landscaped trees, plants, and flowers. Each season, it’s decorated according to a unique concept.

Flamingo Wildlife Habitat

The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, run by the Flamingo Hotel, is home to flamingos, turtles, pelicans, and other animals. It’s not a big place, but there’s plenty to see, including well-landscaped gardens and a man-made waterfall. It’s a great place to relax when you’re tired from exploring the bustling city center, and best of all, it’s a great place to visit with kids. You can enter from 7 am to 8 pm and no reservations or tickets are required. Every day at 8:30 am and 2:00 pm, there are events where the zookeepers feed the animals.

Mirage Volcano

The Mirage Hotel’s Volcano show is a chance to watch a volcano erupt in the city center. Accompanied by majestic music, the roaring flames leave a brief but powerful impression. As you get closer, you can feel the hot energy in the air. It only takes place at night and is held every hour on the hour from 8 to 11 pm in summer. It only lasts about five minutes, so be sure to time it right. It can also be canceled without notice, so be careful.

Lake of Dreams

Lake of Dreams is a free show that is just as dreamy and fantastical as its name suggests, and is held at the Wynn Hotel on the Strip. You can watch puppet shows and musical performances utilizing an artificial lake and a large screen. The venue is surrounded by a 30-meter-high waterfall and 1500 pine trees, giving it a romantic feel. The sparkling lake is illuminated by 5500 LED lights. The show only takes place at night, with performances every 30 minutes. It’s free to watch, but for a more relaxed experience, head to one of the hotel lounges or restaurants. You can enjoy cocktails and a meal while taking in the show.

Circus Circus Free Circus Acts of Dreams

One of the oldest hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, Circus Circus hosts free circus shows every night of the week. It’s a great alternative if you can’t afford the more expensive Cirque du Soleil shows. It’s not a big show, but many travelers come to see it because it’s something different and fun that you don’t see every day, especially if you’re traveling with kids.

M&M’s World Las Vegas

This is a branded store on the Strip that sells chocolates and souvenirs from the world-famous chocolate company. You can watch a free 3D movie featuring the cute characters of M&M’s. The movie may be a little too childish for adults, but it’s perfect for kids. Aside from the movie, there’s plenty more to see at M&M’s World. The huge stacks of chocolates are an attraction in themselves, and it’s worth a visit even if you don’t plan on buying any.

O-show

O™ by Cirque du Soleil® at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino

If you’re traveling to the entertainment capital of the world, a city full of spectacular, world-class shows, there are three shows you must see.

O show

The water-themed O show at the Bellagio Hotel is a show that starts with water and ends with water, with nearly six million liters of water that can disappear in an instant and fill up quickly, making it a must-see for those who prefer water shows.
The show features synchronized synchronized swimming, diving, and dancing on the water, and the costumes and props make it look like a fantasy movie.

Awakening Show

Wynn Hotel’s water and acrobatics-themed Revue Show is now the Awakening Show.
The show was considered one of the three most popular shows in Las Vegas along with the O Show and the Car Show. The show was very popular among travelers because of the dancers’ high level of diving and acting skills and the circular stage, which can be seen from any location, but now it has been replaced by the Awakening Show, which is the next show to replace the Levee Show. It is said to be unique because it uses various CG technologies rather than water and fire, which are the elements of the original Levee Show.

KA show

Last but not least, there’s the Cirque du Soleil KA show at MGM Grand Hotel, which is themed around fire.
If the point of the O show is water, the KA show is fire. The KA show is an oriental stage full of fantasy, and it is one of the three major shows in Las Vegas that dramatically expresses human happiness and misery, divided into four concepts: fire, air, water, and earth.

High Roller

The High Roller offers a bird’s-eye view of the Las Vegas Valley and the Strip. At 167 meters tall, it’s the largest Ferris wheel in the world, with 28 large cabins that take about 30 minutes to complete a 360-degree loop. Weddings and other events are held in the cabins, and there is even a bar cabin that serves alcohol.

If you want to ride the High Roller as the sun goes down and see the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas slowly reveal itself, you can’t go wrong. Depending on the time of day you ride the High Roller, you’ll either get to see the clear blue skies of Las Vegas or the colorful and vibrant nighttime lights.

Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock Canyon, the red jewel of the Mojave Desert, is Nevada’s first national preserve and offers a 13-mile drive through its unique desert landscape. In addition to the drive, you can hike, rock climb, horseback ride, bike, and more.

The Mob Museum

A museum in a former Las Vegas post office, courthouse, and courthouse building traces the history of American crime
Downtown is a historic part of Las Vegas. The city owes much of its growth to the power of the Mafia.

The city’s original hotel, the Framingo, was built in 1946 by mobster Bugsy Siegel. The mafia and Las Vegas are inseparable. That’s why you’ll want to head to the Mob Museum to learn about the history of the city.

The Mob Museum details the history of the American Mafia with over 2,000 authentic artifacts and interactive exhibits. You’ll see the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre Wall, a gas chamber, the earliest slot machines in Las Vegas, weapons used by the mob, and more. Not to be missed at the Mob Museum is the Speakeasy bar in the basement. It’s a recreation of the clandestine bars where people would sneak off to drink taboo alcohol during Prohibition.
