1. Prague Castle

3. Astronomical Clock

This is an iconic tourist attraction located in the Old Town Square in Prague. The clock dates back to the 15th century, making it the oldest known mechanical device in Prague.

The Prague Astronomical Clock Tower is famous for being the “world’s oldest working astronomical clock”. The story goes that it was placed in a location where people could see it from the square at all times, as a way to “bring the clock into everyday life”.

It features a complex structure with miniature figurines that are activated by lighting a censer, astronomical time, constellations, moon phases, and other information. It is an artifact that contains a wealth of astronomical information that was used by astronomers of old.

The clock performs a puppet show every hour on the hour. The puppet show is organized into seven themes: Hanys, Little Greed, The Vanity, The Death, Figures of the Apostles, Moors, and The Rooster.

4. Charles Bridge

One of the most famous and beautiful bridges in Prague. Built in the 14th century by Czech Emperor Charles IV, the bridge spans between Prague Castle and the Old Town Square. Thirty baroque statues adorn the bridge, which are truly works of art. The atmosphere on Charles Bridge is always lively, with busking singers and street artists. The surrounding area is packed with restaurants and taverns and is always bustling with people. The Charles Bridge is the number one hotspot in Prague. From the bridge, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Old Town and Prague Castle, especially during sunset.
